Perger Mühlstein-Rally
Our sponsored driver Markus Jaitz looks back on this year's Perger Mühlstein Rally with great satisfaction. With an impressive 100 rally starts, he can look back on an impressive anniversary.
The extreme outside temperatures took their toll on the 83 teams and their vehicles. But Markus Jaitz and his team mate Johann Drapela mastered the challenges of the six special stages without any major difficulties. Their Fiat Stilo JTD proved to be a reliable partner on the demanding routes.
Unfortunately, two other stages had to be stopped early due to accidents involving other teams. During one incident, a small forest fire broke out, but it was quickly extinguished, and an ambulance had to be called to the other incident. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries.
In previous years, Markus Jaitz has finished 7th in his always highly competitive class at this rally. This year, he would have managed to achieve this place again if there had not been a separate class for non-petrol vehicles. In this class, he won with a remarkable lead of three minutes against a team from the Waldviertel, also in a Fiat Stilo JTD.
"With our two diesels, a total of 13 cars would have finished in the class. 7th place - even if only theoretically - is a great success with our car, which is significantly inferior in terms of performance. I am really satisfied," said a happy Markus Jaitz in the finish area on the main square in Perg.
We are proud to have Markus Jaitz as part of our sponsorship family and congratulate him on his successful anniversary!
