3. Security measures
We take organizational, contractual and technical security measures in line with the state of the art to ensure that the provisions of data protection laws are complied with and to protect the data we process against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons.
The security measures include in particular the encrypted transmission of data between your browser and our server.
4. Transfer of data to third parties and third-party providers
We only pass on user data to third parties if this is necessary for contractual purposes, e.g. on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR or on the basis of legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f. GDPR in the economic and effective operation of our business.
If we use subcontractors to provide our services, we take appropriate legal precautions and appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the protection of personal data in accordance with the relevant legal regulations.
5. Contact
When you contact us (by email), the user's details are processed to process the contact request and its processing in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter b) GDPR.
The user's details can be stored in our customer relationship management system ("CRM system") or comparable request organization.
We use the CRM system "DWI". This is a specially programmed solution that is hosted on an ISO-certified server (ISO 27001; ISO 27002) of the provider Digimagical GmbH (Legstattgasse 4-6/25, 3001 Mauerbach). With regard to storage, mapo Schmierstofftechnik GmbH refers to the basis of our legitimate interests (efficient and fast processing of user requests).
6. Collection of access data and log files
On the basis of our legitimate interests within the meaning of Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f. of the GDPR, we collect data about every access to the server on which this service is located (so-called server log files). The access data includes the name of the website accessed, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider.
Log file information is stored for a maximum of seven days for security reasons (e.g. to investigate misuse or fraud) and then deleted. Data that needs to be retained for evidentiary purposes is exempt from deletion until the respective incident has been finally clarified.
7. Cookies & reach measurement
Cookies are information that is transferred from our web server or third-party web servers to the users' web browsers and stored there for later retrieval. Cookies can be small files or other types of information storage.
We use session cookies, which are only stored for the duration of the current visit to our website (e.g. to store your login status or the shopping cart function and thus enable the use of our online offer at all). A randomly generated unique identification number, a so-called session ID, is stored in a session cookie. A cookie also contains information about its origin and the storage period. These cookies cannot store any other data. Session cookies are deleted when you have finished using our online offer and, for example, log out or close the browser.
Users are informed about the use of cookies in the context of pseudonymous range measurement in this data protection declaration.
If users do not want cookies to be stored on their computer, they are asked to deactivate the corresponding option in the system settings of their browser. Stored cookies can be deleted in the system settings of the browser. Excluding cookies can lead to functional restrictions of this online offer.
The following cookies are currently used on the mapo Schmierstofftechnik GmbH website mapo.at:

8. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"), on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offering within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f. GDPR). Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about the use of the online offering by users is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee of compliance with European data protection law. You can read more here: www.privacyshield.gov/participant.
Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate the use of our online offering by users, to compile reports on the activities within this online offering and to provide us with other services related to the use of this online offering and internet usage. Pseudonymous user profiles of users can be created from the processed data.
We use Google Analytics to only display the ads placed within advertising services of Google and its partners to users who have also shown an interest in our online offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined based on the websites visited) that we transmit to Google (so-called "remarketing" or "Google Analytics audiences"). With the help of remarketing audiences, we also want to ensure that our ads correspond to the potential interests of users and are not annoying.
We only use Google Analytics with activated IP anonymization. This means that the user's IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
The IP address transmitted by the user's browser is not merged with other Google data. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by setting their browser software accordingly; users can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to their use of the website and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Further information on data usage by Google, setting options and objection options can be found on Google’s websites: www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners (“Use of data by Google when you use our partners’ websites or apps”), www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads (“Use of data for advertising purposes”), www.google.de/settings/ads (“Manage information that Google uses to show you advertising”).
9. Google-Re/Marketing-Services
Based on our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offering within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f. GDPR), we use the marketing and remarketing services (“Google Marketing Services” for short) of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, (“Google”).
Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee of compliance with European data protection law (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active).
The Google Marketing Services allow us to display advertisements for and on our website in a more targeted manner in order to only present users with advertisements that potentially correspond to their interests. If, for example, a user is shown advertisements for products in which they were interested on other websites, this is referred to as “remarketing”. For these purposes, when you visit our website and other websites on which Google Marketing Services are active, Google immediately executes a code from Google and so-called (re)marketing tags (invisible graphics or code, also known as "web beacons") are integrated into the website. With their help, an individual cookie, i.e. a small file, is stored on the user's device (comparable technologies can also be used instead of cookies). The cookies can be set by various domains, including google.com, doubleclick.net, invitemedia.com, admeld.com, googlesyndication.com or googleadservices.com. This file records which websites the user has visited, which content he is interested in and which offers he has clicked on, as well as technical information about the browser and operating system, referring websites, time of visit and other information about the use of the online offer. The user's IP address is also recorded, whereby we inform you within the framework of Google Analytics that the IP address is shortened within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area and only in exceptional cases is it transferred in full to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address is not merged with user data within other Google offerings. The above information may also be combined by Google with such information from other sources. If the user subsequently visits other websites, advertisements tailored to his interests can be shown to him.
The user data is processed pseudonymously within the framework of Google Marketing Services. This means that Google does not store and process the name or email address of the user, for example, but processes the relevant data in a cookie-related manner within pseudonymous user profiles. This means that from Google's point of view, the ads are not managed and displayed for a specifically identified person, but for the cookie owner, regardless of who this cookie owner is. This does not apply if a user has expressly allowed Google to process the data without this pseudonymization. The information collected about users by Google Marketing Services is transmitted to Google and stored on Google's servers in the USA.
The Google Marketing Services we use include the online advertising program "Google AdWords". In the case of Google AdWords, each AdWords customer receives a different "conversion cookie". Cookies cannot therefore be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. The information obtained using the cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. AdWords customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.
We can integrate third-party advertisements based on the Google marketing service "DoubleClick". DoubleClick uses cookies that enable Google and its partner websites to display advertisements based on users' visits to this website or other websites on the Internet.
We can integrate third-party advertisements based on the Google marketing service "AdSense". AdSense uses cookies that enable Google and its partner websites to display advertisements based on users' visits to this website or other websites on the Internet.
We can also use the "Google Optimizer" service. Google Optimizer allows us to use so-called "A/B testing" to understand how different changes to a website affect the user (e.g. changes to input fields, design, etc.). Cookies are stored on users' devices for these testing purposes. Only pseudonymous user data is processed.
We can also use the "Google Tag Manager" to integrate and manage Google analysis and marketing services on our website.
You can find out more about Google's use of data for marketing purposes on the overview page: www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads, and Google's privacy policy can be found at www.google.com/policies/privacy.
If you would like to object to interest-based advertising through Google Marketing Services, you can use the settings and opt-out options provided by Google:
http://www.google.com/ads/preferences.
10. Facebook, Custom Audiences and Facebook Marketing Services
Within our online offering, the so-called "Facebook Pixel" of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or if you are based in the EU, Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook"), is used due to our legitimate interests in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offering and for these purposes.
Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee of compliance with European data protection law (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active).
With the help of the Facebook pixel, Facebook is able to determine the visitors to our online offering as a target group for the display of advertisements (so-called "Facebook ads"). Accordingly, we use the Facebook pixel to only display the Facebook ads we place to Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined based on the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called "custom audiences"). With the help of the Facebook pixel, we also want to ensure that our Facebook ads correspond to the potential interests of users and do not appear annoying. By using the Facebook pixel, we can also track the effectiveness of Facebook advertisements for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook advertisement (so-called "conversion").
The Facebook pixel is integrated directly by Facebook when you visit our websites and can save a so-called cookie, i.e. a small file, on your device. If you then log in to Facebook or visit Facebook while logged in, the visit to our online offer will be noted in your profile. The data collected about you is anonymous to us, so it does not allow us to draw any conclusions about the identity of the user. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and can be used by Facebook and for its own market research and advertising purposes. If we should transmit data to Facebook for comparison purposes, it is encrypted locally in the browser and only then sent to Facebook via a secure https connection. This is done solely for the purpose of making a comparison with the data that is also encrypted by Facebook.
Also on the basis of our legitimate interests, we use the "Custom Audiences from File" process of the social network Facebook, Inc. In this case, the email addresses of the newsletter recipients are uploaded to Facebook. The upload process is encrypted. The upload is used solely to determine recipients of our Facebook ads. We want to ensure that the ads are only shown to users who are interested in our information and services.
Facebook processes the data in accordance with Facebook's data usage policy. Accordingly, general information on the display of Facebook ads can be found in Facebook's data usage policy: www.facebook.com/policy.php. Specific information and details on the Facebook pixel and how it works can be found in the Facebook help section: www.facebook.com/business/help/651294705016616.
You can object to the Facebook pixel collecting data and using your data to display Facebook ads. To set which types of ads are shown to you within Facebook, you can visit the page set up by Facebook and follow the instructions on the settings for usage-based advertising: www.facebook.com/settings. The settings are platform-independent, i.e. they are applied to all devices, such as desktop computers or mobile devices.
Note: Please note that at the time this template was created, Facebook does not offer an opt-out and you must implement it yourself. If you do not do so, you must remove this passage.
You can also object to the use of cookies that are used for reach measurement and advertising purposes via the Network Advertising Initiative deactivation page (http://optout.networkadvertising.org/) and additionally the US website (http://www.aboutads.info/choices) or the European website (http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/).
11. Integration of third-party services and content
We use content or service offers from third parties within our online offering on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offering within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f. GDPR) in order to integrate their content and services, such as videos or fonts (hereinafter referred to uniformly as "content"). This always requires that the third-party providers of this content perceive the IP address of the users, since without the IP address they would not be able to send the content to their browser. The IP address is therefore required to display this content. We endeavor to only use content whose respective providers only use the IP address to deliver the content. Third-party providers can also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also known as "web beacons") for statistical or marketing purposes. The "pixel tags" can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this website. The pseudonymous information can be stored in cookies on the user's device and can contain, among other things, technical information about the browser and operating system, referring websites, time of visit and other information about the use of our online offer, as well as be linked to such information from other sources.
The following illustration provides an overview of third-party providers and their content, along with links to their privacy policies, which contain further information on the processing of data and, in some cases already mentioned here, options for objection (so-called opt-out):
External fonts from Google, Inc., www.google.com/fonts ("Google Fonts"). The Google Fonts are integrated by calling a server at Google (usually in the USA). Privacy policy: www.google.com/policies/privacy/, Opt-out: www.google.com/settings/ads/.
Videos from the "YouTube" platform of the third-party provider Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Privacy policy: www.google.com/policies/privacy/, Opt-Out: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/.
12. Users' rights
Users have the right to receive information about the personal data we have stored about them free of charge upon request.
In addition, users have the right to correct incorrect data, restrict processing and delete their personal data, if applicable, assert their rights to data portability and, in the event of suspected unlawful data processing, file a complaint with the responsible supervisory authority.
Users can also revoke consent, generally with effect for the future.
13. Deletion of data
The data stored by us is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for its intended purpose and there are no statutory retention periods that prevent deletion. If the user data is not deleted because it is required for other legally permissible purposes, its processing will be restricted. This means that the data is blocked and not processed for other purposes. This applies, for example, to user data that must be retained for commercial or tax reasons. In principle, data is retained for up to 10 years for legal reasons.
14. Right of objection
Users can object to the future processing of their personal data at any time in accordance with the legal requirements. The objection can be made in particular against processing for direct marketing purposes.
15. Changes to the data protection declaration
We reserve the right to change the data protection declaration in order to adapt it to changed legal situations or changes to the service and data processing. However, this only applies with regard to declarations on data processing. If the consent of the users is required or if parts of the data protection declaration contain provisions of the contractual relationship with the users, the changes will only be made with the consent of the users. Users are asked to regularly inform themselves about the content of the data protection declaration.
